PVOC Obedience & Rally Trials Oct. 26 & 27/13
Thanks to our judges, stewards, exhibitors & members for another successful show. In addition to the trials, there was a Halloween contest and a raffle full of great items. Good fun, good food, great camaraderie and the weather was near perfect. What more could you ask for?Pictured left Obedience High in Trial & High Local winner Oct. 26; pictured right Obedience High in Trial & High Local winner Oct. 27. Renate Van Allen Seminar
The Pahrump Valley Obedience Club would like to thank you for making our first seminar such a success! We couldn’t have done it without all the wonderful attendees eager for new tips and ideas in achieving new heights with their dogs in competition obedience. And, we certainly could not have done it without our accomplished instructor, Renate Van Allen and her team, John, Pindar and Kayak.
“I think you and your club should be commended on the fine job you did hosting the Renate Van Allen seminar. It was well managed and I think everyone went away from the seminar with lots of good ideas to try. We need to have more seminars like this in the future.” Sandy N
“It was a great seminar with a lot of useful information. Now to put it to use! The only losers were the people who weren’t there!” Bobbie B
“Thank you PVOC for having the Renate Van Allen seminar. I have known Renate since 1997 and she is one of the top obedience trainers and exhibitors in the US. Having attended her weekend seminar I found her method simple to understand. Not only does she use a common sense approach, she explained her reasoning, of each element, of every exercise. I went away with more knowledge than I came with!” Bonnie L
“What a wonderful way of training. Never a harsh word, never an unfair request … always a kind and gentle hand with plenty of games to keep both dog and handler motivated. If you have a chance to work with Renate – I have only one suggestion….DO IT!” Valerie W
“My brain is filled with new ideas and methods for training Casper and I’ve already employed some of them. It was really nice to have such a quality seminar available for those of us interested in obedience competition.” Carol R
“A great seminar. Renate’s training philosophy mirrors my own but she had some wonderful ideas that I had never thought about before. Well worth the time and money for the seminar. Hope to someday get the opportunity to work with her again.” Henry P
“Informative seminar. Thanks for bringing such a high quality trainer to our community.” Betty K
“Really enjoyed the seminar. Learned a lot of games to play with Nina – we should have a lot of fun. She covered everything and it was never boring. Really kept it fun – like we are supposed to keep it when training our dogs. Good lessons. Thanks for having it.” Vicky D
“I, being an old school dog trainer, was blown away by Renate’s way of training. To me it was a revelation! I was very impressed, and felt the whole thing was all worthwhile… I picked up so many tips I was very satisfied. I’m looking forward to more seminars in the future.” Jan B
“Really enjoyed the seminar. Renate reminded all of us how simple it is to teach your dog. I am really excited to work with my dogs and use the Renate Method!” Vivian M
Our awards presentation for 2012 was held on Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at our general meeting. We kept the business short so we could all enjoy the party.
Well done everyone!
